Job summary

Cascade Energy is seeking an Engineer II with Energy Efficiency and RCx experience to work with clients across industrial and commercial facilities. You will gather data, build optimization models, write feasibility reports, and manage projects while providing peer support and quality control.

Responsibilities include leading projects, performing energy-savings analyses, engaging on-site with clients, and expanding work with current accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 1–5 years of engineering experience, preferably in energy or related fields.
• Knowledge of refrigeration, compressed air systems, steam systems, electrical distribution, and data-logging of results.
• Experience in energy efficiency in commercial/industrial facilities.
• Experience with retro-commissioning (RCx).
• Experience with Strategic Energy Management (SEM).
• Proactive, resourceful, and motivated to achieve project results.
• Commitment to learning and inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects with overall management and accountability, and support peers.
• Calculate energy savings using established tools, spreadsheets, and methods.
• Engage on-site with clients to identify energy-efficiency opportunities.
• Strengthen client relationships and generate additional work.
• Explain complex technical topics and produce energy-efficiency reports; collect performance data.
• Willingness to travel ~20% and work across multiple sites.
