Job summary

Cascade Energy is seeking an Engineer II with Energy Efficiency and RCx experience to assess operations, model systems, and write feasibility reports for energy projects. You will lead projects, oversee data collection, and drive energy-savings analyses across industrial and commercial facilities.

The role involves travel about 20% and requires residing near availability for site work. There is no office requirement, enabling remote or flexible work arrangements within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 1–5 years engineering experience in energy or related field.
• Knowledge of refrigeration, compressed air, steam systems, data-logging, and electrical distribution.
• Experience in energy efficiency for commercial/industrial facilities.
• Experience with retro-commissioning (RCx).
• Experience with Strategic Energy Management (SEM).

Responsibilities

• Lead projects with overall management, direction, and accountability, and support peers through technical discussions and work reviews.
• Calculate energy savings for system/equipment changes using established tools and methodologies.
• Engage with on-site clients to understand equipment and operations and identify energy-efficiency opportunities.
• Strengthen client relationships and identify opportunities to generate additional work with current clients.
• Explain complex technical topics, produce energy-efficiency reports, collect data, and maintain knowledge of utility programs and compliance requirements.
