Job summary

Cascade Energy is seeking an Engineer II with energy efficiency and retro-commissioning (RCx) experience to lead projects and optimize performance in industrial and commercial facilities. You will gather data, model systems, write feasibility reports, and manage project delivery while supporting peers and quality control.

The role includes travel (~20%), remote-friendly options, and collaboration with utility programs to drive energy savings and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 1–5 years of engineering experience, preferably in energy.
• Knowledge of refrigeration, compressed air, steam systems, system modeling, electrical distribution, data logging.
• Experience with energy efficiency in commercial/industrial facilities.
• Experience with retro-commissioning (RCx).
• Experience with Strategic Energy Management (SEM).

Responsibilities

• Lead projects with overall management, direction, and accountability.
• Calculate energy savings for system changes using established tools and methods.
• Engage on-site with industrial clients to identify energy-efficiency opportunities.
• Grow client relationships and identify additional work with current clients.
• Communicate technical topics clearly and produce energy-efficiency reports.
