Job summary

Cascade Energy is seeking an Engineer II with energy efficiency and RCx experience to help clients optimize industrial and commercial facilities. You will gather data, build optimization models, and write feasibility reports while leading project management and peer reviews.

The role includes on-site client engagement, energy-savings analysis, and opportunities to expand work with existing clients. Travel about 20% is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 1–5 years of engineering experience, preferably in energy or energy-related fields.
• Experience with energy efficiency in commercial/industrial facilities and RCx.
• Experience with SEM and data-driven energy optimization.
• Proactive, resourceful and motivated to achieve project results.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects with overall management, direction, and accountability.
• Calculate energy savings for system/equipment changes using established tools and methods.
• Engage on-site with clients to identify energy-efficiency opportunities.
• Strengthen client relationships and generate additional work.
• Explain complex topics, produce energy-efficiency reports, and collect performance data.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering

1–5 years of engineering experience

Energy efficiency (commercial/industrial)

RCx (retro-commissioning) experience

SEM (Strategic Energy Management)
