Job summary

Franklin Energy / AM Conservation is seeking a field-based energy advisor to deliver energy efficiency programs to homeowners, landlords, building owners and utility customers in the Chicago area. The role blends field work with office time, focusing on advising customers, facilitating rebates, and promoting program benefits.

You will interact with trade partners, perform onsite assessments, and prepare summary reports while supporting revenue and energy savings targets across the territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; technical school degree considered with related electric/gas utility field experience.
• 3–5 years in electric or natural gas utility industry, facilities management, HVAC or energy-related fields.
• 2–3 years in energy efficiency and/or energy modeling; prior customer service, sales or marketing experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct installation of energy saving products as directed by program management.
• Promote the energy efficiency program to customers, trade allies and stakeholders in your territory.
• Make outbound calls to existing customers to meet energy saving targets and initiate new business.
• Develop and deliver presentations to raise awareness about the program and assist customers through rebate processes.
