Job summary

Barrow Brain and Spine seeks a Medical Assistant to register patients in AthenaOne, gather demographics and insurance details, and prepare physician-ready charts for visits. You will support clinicians by coordinating schedules, securing necessary reports, and triaging calls with professionalism.

Qualifications

Graduate of a formal Medical Assisting program accredited by CAAHEP.
Two years of experience in a medical clinic.

Responsibilities

Register new patients in AthenaOne prior to scheduling with correct demographics and insurance.
Ensure all initial consultations, notes, lab slips, radiology, and pathology reports are available to the physician.
Answer calls or triage and direct to appropriate personnel.
Schedule appointments and enter dates/times into the computerized scheduler.
Coordinate physician schedules with clinical and surgical calendars.
