Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the Digestive Health Center within the endoscopy team. You will assist with patient care, obtain specimens, and reprocess endoscopes and instruments, while maintaining sterile technique.

Multiple shift options are available, including 8-, 9-, and 10-hour shifts. The role emphasizes teamwork, infection control, and effective communication to support high-quality surgical care.

Qualifications

• Requires clinical communication and infection control knowledge.
• Independently scrubs basic surgical procedures.
• Applied knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing supplies and equipment for efficient operations.
• Collect data and document accurately in patient records.
• Maintain aseptic technique and sterile environment.
• Assist in cleaning and sterilizing instruments per policy.
• Prepare procedure rooms and stock exam rooms.
• Assist with specimen collection and transport.
