Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the Digestive Health Center and endoscopy team. You will assist with patient care, obtain specimens, handle instruments, and reprocess endoscopes between cases, serving as a technical resource within the department.

Multiple shifts are available (8-, 9-, and 10-hour options) to suit different schedules. The role emphasizes teamwork, aseptic technique, and efficient room turnover in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or Surgical Technology certificate required.
• CER within 18 months and BLS within 30 days.
• Excellent communication and infection control knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assists in organization and coordination of supplies and equipment for the department.
• Performs accurate documentation in patient records as directed.
• Maintains aseptic technique to preserve a sterile environment.
• Assists providers with procedures and treatments.
• Reprocesses endoscopes and accessories per policy.
• Cleans and stocks exam and procedure rooms.
• Obtains specimens and transports per hospital policy.
• Acts as a resource for technical equipment in the department.
