Job summary

Carle Health seeks a Surgical Technologist to join the Digestive Health Center endoscopy team. You will assist with patient care, obtain specimens, prepare instruments, and reprocess endoscopes between cases, while supporting the department's technical equipment needs.

Multiple shift options (8-, 9-, and 10-hour) are available. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are offered to eligible candidates, with competitive benefits and a support-focused work environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or certificate in Surgical Technology is required.
• CER certification within 18 months and BLS within 30 days.
• Excellent communication and sterile technique are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assists in organization and coordination of supplies and equipment to maintain an efficient department.
• Collects data on assigned patients as directed by the RN and unit standards.
• Documents duties on patient records as directed by standards and guidelines.
• Maintains aseptic environment and separates clean and dirty areas.
• Communicates effectively with team members, patients and families.
• Assists providers with procedures and treatments.
• Reprocesses endoscopes and sterilizes instruments per policy.
• Cleans and stocks exam and procedure rooms.
• Obtains specimens and transports per hospital policy.
• Serves as a resource for department equipment.
• Assists with inventory and restocking of supplies.
