Job summary

Carle Health seeks a Surgical Technologist to provide clinical support in the Digestive Health Center. You will assist the endoscopy team with patient care, prepare instruments, and help reprocess endoscopes between cases, serving as a resource for department equipment.

Choose from multiple shifts including 8-, 9-, and 10-hour options. Strong communication and infection control skills are essential, with CREP compliance and BLS required within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Completed Surgical Technology program or an associate degree.
• CER certification within 18 months.
• BLS certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organization and coordination of supplies and equipment.
• Collect data on assigned patients and document in records.
• Maintain sterile technique and environment; ensure asepsis.
• Assist with instrument cleaning, sterilization, and room turnover.
• Obtain specimens and transport per hospital policy.
