Job summary

Carle Health is hiring a Surgical Technologist to support the Digestive Health Center. The role involves assisting the endoscopy team, instrument handling, and room setup/teardown between cases, including reprocessing endoscopes and maintaining equipment.

Multiple shift options (8-, 9-, 10-hour) are available. Ideal candidates hold an Associate’s Degree or Surgical Technology certificate and CER/BLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or diploma in Surgical Technology or equivalent.
• CER within 18 months and BLS within 30 days are required.
• Hands-on scrubbing and aseptic technique in an endoscopy setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with organization and coordination of supplies and equipment.
• Collect data on assigned patients as directed by the RN.
• Document accurately in patient records.
• Maintain sterile environment and aseptic technique.
• Communicate effectively with team members and patients.
