Job summary

Carle Health’s Digestive Health Center seeks a Surgical Technologist to support endoscopy procedures, assist with instruments, and reprocess endoscopes. The role offers 8-, 9-, and 10-hour shift options to fit varying schedules.

Qualified candidates have an Associate’s Degree and Surgical Technology training, plus CER and BLS certifications within required timeframes. This role emphasizes teamwork, infection control, and efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, hand/eye coordinator, knowledge of infection control principles.
• Independently scrubs basic surgical procedures and applies sterile technique.

Responsibilities

• Assists in organization and coordination of supplies and equipment to maintain an efficient department.
• Collects data on assigned patients and documents per standards.
• Maintains asepsis and sterile environment; collaborates with team and patients.
• Assists providers with procedures and treatments; cleans and sterilizes instruments.
• Obtains specimens and transports as required; restocks supplies.
