Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the Digestive Health Center. The role involves assisting physicians, preparing rooms, reprocessing endoscopes, and ensuring sterile technique. Strong communication and instrument handling are essential for patient care across endoscopy procedures.

Qualifications

Requires an Associate’s Degree or Surgical Technology program completion.
CER within 18 months and BLS within 30 days are mandatory.
Excellent communication, infection control, and scrub skills required.

Responsibilities

Assist physician with procedures and instruments.
Prepare and maintain procedure rooms and supplies.
Reprocess endoscopes and sterilize instruments.
Document accurately in patient records as directed.
Obtain specimens and transport per hospital policy.
Support endoscopy team with equipment and inventory management.
