Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to provide clinical support in the Digestive Health Center. You will assist with patient care, obtain specimens, and help physicians with instruments, while reprocessing endoscopes and keeping equipment ready for cases.

Multiple shifts (8-, 9-, and 10-hour) are available to fit your schedule. Ideal candidates have an Associate’s Degree and Surgical Technology credential, with CER and BLS certifications in progress.

Qualifications

• Applied knowledge of infection control principles and asepsis during procedures.
• Independently scrubs basic surgical procedures and assists with instrument setup and room turnover.
• Patient care awareness and ability to document per unit standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with procedures and treatments.
• Prepare procedure rooms with supplies and equipment.
• Reprocess endoscopes and reprocessing accessories per policy.
• Assist in cleaning and sterilization of instruments.
• Obtain specimens and transport per hospital policy.
• Stock and inventory supplies for efficient workflow.
