Job summary

Carle Health’s Digestive Health Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist to provide essential clinical support within the endoscopy team. You will assist with patient care, obtain specimens, and help with instrument setup and room turnover between cases. Reprocessing endoscopes and supporting equipment will be part of the role.

Multiple shifts are available, including 8-, 9-, and 10-hour options. The position offers a sign-on bonus and relocation bonus, plus competitive benefits and

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Surgical Technology program completion.
• CER within 18 months (HSPA) certification requirement.
• BLS within 30 days - AHA.

Responsibilities

• Assists in organization and coordination of supplies and equipment to maintain an efficient department.
• Collects data on assigned patients as directed by the RN and unit standards.
• Performs accurate documentation in patient records as directed by standards.
• Maintains asepsis and sterile environment; separates clean and dirty areas.
• Communicates effectively with team members, patients and families.
• Assists providers with procedures and treatments.
• Reprocesses endoscopes and sterilizes instruments per policy.
• Cleans and stocks exam and procedure rooms; transports specimens as required.
