Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative in Grand Rapids to support registration, concierge and clerical tasks within the Gastroenterology team. You will register patients, schedule appointments, review referrals and ensure accurate medical records handling.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least 2 years of related experience, with emphasis on accuracy, teamwork and patient-centered service. This is a full-time, day-shift position.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant experience in insurance billing, access management, patient financial services, electronic health records, lab service support or other related fields.

Responsibilities

• Register patients in treatment rooms and perform complex problem solving for patient inquiries.
• Schedule patient appointments, referrals, procedures, tests and manage medical records review.
• Obtain insurance authorizations and assist with denials/appeals as needed.
• Handle EMR/EHR scanning and Right Fax uploading to EPIC.
• Assist with training new team members on standard processes.
