Job summary

SCA Health in Florida is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Endoscopy to deliver perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. You will develop perioperative plans, monitor patient status, administer medications, and ensure safety and infection control standards across GI/OR procedures.

Requirements include a nursing degree, active state licensure, and BLS/ACLS (PALS when required); GI/OR experience is preferred. The role offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year GI, OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing.
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS/BCLS certification.
• Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
• Successful completion of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) if pediatric care is included within 90 days of employment or documentation of current PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop an individualized perioperative plan of care by implementing: protecting the patient from injury and ensuring safe operation of equipment.
• Administer medications safely using the 8 rights of medication administration.
• Provide nursing care and monitoring in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Maintain and troubleshoot endoscopy instruments and accessories.
• Assess patient status at intervals and transfer care as applicable.
• Provide hand-off reports to the team with concise, pertinent information.
• Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
