Job summary

SCA Health in Massachusetts is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Endoscopy to develop perioperative care plans, manage endoscopy instruments, and monitor patient recovery through anesthesia and postoperative care. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety, infection control, and patient education.

The role requires nursing licensure, GI/OR experience preferred, and certification readiness (BLS/ACLS/PALS). On-site position with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of GI, OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Develop an individualized perioperative plan of care by implementing standard nursing processes.
• Maintain and prepare endoscopy instruments and accessories; troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Administer medications safely using the 8 rights of medication administration.
• Monitor patient recovery and ensure normothermia and adequate tissue perfusion postoperatively.
• Provide patient and family education regarding perioperative care and expected outcomes.
• Ensure infection control practices and universal precautions are followed.
