Job summary

SCA Health in Laguna Hills, CA, is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for Endoscopy to provide perioperative nursing care, lead patient plans, and ensure safety through the GI/OR spectrum. You will collaborate with the surgical team and monitor recovery, while adhering to standards of care and institutional policies.

Candidates should have GI/OR nursing experience, current RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and the ability to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of GI, OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification if pediatric care is included within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Develop perioperative patient care plans and implement them.
• Maintain endoscopy instruments and ensure readiness of equipment.
• Administer medications safely using the 8 rights of medication administration.
• Provide patient education and advocate for patient safety.
• Transfer care and provide concise hand-off reports to team.
