Job summary

Ascendis Pharma is seeking a senior pharmaceutical sales professional for a West Palm Beach territory. You will engage in compliant, customized discussions with health-system customers and drive top-line sales to meet forecasts.

The role requires navigating complex distribution and HUB services while building strong physician, hospital, and pharmacist relationships. The position emphasizes start-up agility, credentialing diligence, and a track record of success in specialty drugs, with overnight

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of sales experience in a specialty environment.
• Experience in rare disease and injectable products preferred.
• Ability to work in an ambiguous, changing environment; start-up experience preferred.
• Experience with complex distribution systems and HUB services.
• Proven history of strong performance and current strong performance.
• Experience selling into hospital/university systems or health networks.
• Experience in specialty pharmaceuticals or rare disease is a plus.
• Ability to build relationships with pharmacists, hospital admins, and physicians.
• Must meet credentialing requirements and have a valid driver’s license.
• Overnight travel required.

Responsibilities

• Use product knowledge to engage in customized discussions and in-person interactions with customers.
• Drive sales performance to meet or exceed forecasts.
• Effectively use budgets to drive therapeutic and territory expectations.
• Maintain understanding of local market structures and key influencers; share insights with stakeholders.
• Identify business opportunities by understanding practice structures and customer needs.
• Use analytical tools to evaluate business performance and allocate resources effectively.
• Develop a business plan with leadership to achieve goals and navigate formulary approvals.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver resources and drive pull-through.
• Ensure administrative excellence in timekeeping, call data, responses, samples, and expenses.
