Job summary

The role drives needs assessment, aligns learning objectives with business goals, and prioritizes programs that support adoption of new tools in a federal IT environment.

The leader designs blended learning solutions, mentors a team of trainers, and coordinates travel schedules while managing change-management activities that accompany new applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Education, Training, HR, or related field.
• 8+ years in training and development with 4–6 years on technical projects.
• Experience designing, executing, and evaluating technical training programs.
• Proven ability to mentor trainers and manage performance.
• Excellent written and spoken communication for diverse users.

Responsibilities

• Govern the overall training strategy for mission-critical systems.
• Design and oversee blended training programs across formats.
• Manage and mentor a team of trainers responsible for developing, testing, maintaining, and delivering training programs.
• Oversee creation and maintenance of training materials such as lesson plans, curricula, SOPs, user and instructor guides.
• Implement evaluation methods to measure training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate with leaders, analysts, application owners, and SMEs to plan deployments.
• Oversee travel planning and training logistics, including budgets and expense reports.
• Promote quality and compliance by defining trainer expectations and providing coaching.
