Job summary

ASM Research is seeking an End User Training Lead to oversee the training and learning portfolio for mission-critical systems in a federal IT environment. You will guide assessment of training needs and align learning objectives with organizational goals.

The role directs design and delivery of blended learning (instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced), mentors a team of trainers, and coordinates travel and delivery schedules while driving change management that accompanies new applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Education, Training, Human Resources, or a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
• 8+ years of experience in training and development, including 4–6 years as a trainer on technical projects and 0–2+ years in management.
• Experience designing, executing, and evaluating training programs for technical applications with strong needs assessment and curriculum development.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of trainers with coaching focused on performance and quality.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to write clear training materials and correspondence.
• Strong organizational skills; managing extensive travel (40–75% of the time) and multiple initiatives.
• Current secret security clearance (active within past 24 months).

Responsibilities

• Govern the overall training strategy for mission-critical systems, including needs assessment and roadmaps.
• Design and oversee blended training programs combining classroom, virtual, and e-learning methods.
• Manage and mentor a team of trainers, including train-the-trainer activities.
• Oversee creation and maintenance of training materials such as lesson plans, curricula, SOPs, guides, and job aids.
• Implement evaluation methods to measure training effectiveness and recommend content improvements.
• Coordinate with business leaders, analysts, application owners, and SMEs to plan deployments and conferences.
• Oversee travel planning and training logistics, budgets, and expense reporting.
• Promote quality and compliance by defining expectations and coaching trainers.
