Job summary

UNM Hospital seeks a PC Workstation Support Technician to provide end-user hardware and software assistance in the IT - Customer Service department. You will install and correct hardware and software problems for the computer user population and ensure adherence to Hospital and Department Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in computer science, electronics or related field
• 2 years of directly related experience
• Education: vocational or technical
• No patient care experience required

Responsibilities

• Standardization: participate in hardware and software standardization efforts.
• Installation: install and implement PC/workstation systems.
• Assist: help users with hardware/software and network problems.
• Assist: support client side of PC Client/Server apps.
• Document: prepare documentation for modified programs.
• Assemble: disassemble/reassemble PC hardware.
• Assist: aid IT Analysts in resolving issues.
• Maintenance: care for department facilities and equipment.
• Development: pursue ongoing professional growth through training.
