Job summary

The University of Mississippi Medical Center seeks a Field Support Specialist for the Division of Information Systems to install, configure and support end-user computing environments across workstations, printers and mobile devices. This on-site role provides tier 2 support and asset management, and coordinates adds/moves/changes in end user devices.

You will ensure procedures and documentation are developed to maximize user productivity, work with vendors on installation and support, and

Responsibilities

• Assist that procedures and documentation are developed for IT resources and productivity.
• Work with vendors for installation, configuration and tier 2 support of devices like printers.
• Establish standard operating procedures for vendor personnel and monitor compliance.
• Manage asset lifecycle: procurement, inventory, warranty, recycling and deployment.
