Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism is seeking an IT Helpdesk specialist to oversee desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and software within the agency. You will manage Helpdesk tickets, deploy devices, and support POS and antivirus systems to ensure seamless user operations.

Responsibilities include coordinating with IT leadership, enforcing security policies, and providing mobile device management while working nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, plus two years' experience.
• Associate degree plus four years' PC support experience.
• High school diploma with six years' PC support experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between IT and end users for PC desktops, laptops and mobile devices.
• Primary point of contact for Helpdesk calls and tickets; maintain Helpdesk software.
• Deploy, configure and maintain POS backend hardware, printers and peripherals.
• Provide VoIP support for the building, remote locations and call center operations.
• Work on-site or remotely; respond to emergencies and travel as needed.
