Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (EMT-P/AEMT) to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and communicate test outcomes to donors.

You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician, ensuring regulatory compliance, safety, and quality. This is a part-time role with day-one benefits, paid training, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; nursing program grad is a plus.
• Current EMT-Paramedic licensure for the responsible state.
• CPR and AED certification maintained.
• State requirements for basic IV therapy fulfilled.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility with informed consent, medical history, and examination.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage emergencies per SOPs.
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable results.
• Provide center-level medical support under Center Manager and Physician guidance.
• Support vaccination programs and environmental, health, and safety practices.
