BioLife Plasma Services in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. This role determines donor eligibility, reviews lab results, and handles donor safety under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

Qualified candidates bring EMT-Paramedic licensure, CPR/AED certification, and at least two years in a clinical setting; FDA training completion is required.

Qualifications

• EMT-Paramedic license or certification in the state of work.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training completed.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility; obtain informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, medical history, exam and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for emergencies and donor transport.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unclear findings or guidance on medical or technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with EHS for guidance; assist in pandemic investigations.
