Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist in Springfield, MO. The role leverages EMT and nursing credentials to determine donor eligibility, review test results, and manage donor safety during the plasma donation process.

You will operate under Center Manager guidance and align with Medical Affairs for medical issues, while participating in EHS and center-level support duties. A strong clinical background and state licensure are required.

Qualifications

• State-licensed EMT-B/A/I/P, LPN/LVN, or RN with CPR/AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy.
• FDA training required for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility and obtain informed consent and donor history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Support vaccination programs and occupational health requirements.
• Refer complex medical issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs.
