Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Belton, MO is hiring a Medical Support Specialist to determine donor eligibility and manage donor safety. You will review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable findings, under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

You will support vaccination programs and occupational health processes, ensuring regulatory compliance. A clinical background and state licensure are required, with training provided by BioLife Medical Affairs.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or certified in the state of responsibilities (EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P, LPN/LVN, RN).
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Two years of clinical or hospital setting experience.
• FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training completion.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS edu, and self-exclusion.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical/technical guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
