Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Joplin, MO seeks a Medical Support Specialist/EMT to determine donor eligibility and manage adverse events, supporting the plasma donation process that enables life-changing therapies. You will review lab results and notifications under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance.

Requirements include EMT licensure in the state (EMT-B/A/I/P, LPN/LVN, or RN), CPR/AED, and at least two years in a clinical setting. FDA training and EHS alignment are also expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and nursing program equivalency.
• Currently licensed in the state for EMT levels: EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Meet state IV therapy requirements where applicable.
• FDA training completion for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Assist with occupational health and EHS incident guidance.
