Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks Medical Support Specialists to assess donor eligibility, monitor donor safety, and support the plasma donation process in a regulated setting. EMTs or licensed nurses play a key role in ensuring quality, safety, and compliance.

You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance, contributing to EHS and medical affairs activities while promoting excellent donor care and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified EMT in applicable state (EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P) or LPN/LVN or RN.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training required.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, education, history interview, physical exam, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs and standing orders.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical/technical issues affecting donor safety or eligibility.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents per EHS guidance and escalate as needed.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support related investigations.
