Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review lab results, manage donor safety, and coordinate with the Center Manager and Physician for medical issues.

The role requires licensure in the relevant state, CPR/AED, and training compliance, with 2+ years in a clinical or hospital setting. You will work in a fast-paced plasma donation center in Elkhart, IN, with comprehensive benefits and safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nursing program equivalent with state requirements.
• Licensed in state where responsibilities are assigned: EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent and medical history evaluation.
• Assess donor reactions and review laboratory test results per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues.
• Support vaccination programs for employees and manage occupational health concerns.
• Provide center-level support for EHS and donor safety.

Education
