Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a BioLife subsidiary, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor safety, review lab test results, and assist with medical guidance under supervision.

Requirements include EMT licensure (B/A/I/P or RN/LPN/LVN), CPR/AED, basic IV therapy, and at least two years of clinical experience. This role emphasizes patient care and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus completion of a recognized nursing program.
• Current state license/certification in EMT-B/A/I or RN/LPN/LVN.
• CPR and AED certification currently active.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history interview, and physical examination.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unresolved findings or guidance.
• Support employee vaccination programs (Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu) as applicable.
