Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks a Medical Support Specialist to assess donor eligibility, monitor safety, and review test results. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician, applying EMT skills in a plasma donation setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified in state for EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility with informed consent, medical history, physical exam, and tests.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for staff.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance.
