Job summary

Ideal candidates bring EMT certification (EMT-B/–A/–I/–P) with CPR/AED, at least two years in a clinical setting, and state licensure as applicable. The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and team-based care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; state requirements for nursing/EMT licensure
• Licensed or certified EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN in the responsibility state
• Current CPR and AED certification
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
• Complete FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training
• Minimum two years in a clinical or hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility and informed consent, medical history interview, physical exam, and donor testing review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and medical emergencies per SOPs; coordinate with Center Physician for guidance.
• Refer complex findings to Center Physician or Medical Affairs.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance; participate in pandemic-related investigations when authorized.
