Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist in Janesville, WI. The role uses EMT skills to assess donors, determine eligibility, monitor safety, and support the plasma collection process.

You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician, following SOPs, and contribute to environmental, health and safety practices while helping deliver life-changing therapies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; nursing program credential preferred.
• Licensed/certified EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN in state of responsibility.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years of clinical or hospital setting experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history, and testing.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage occupational health incidents with EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.
