Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is hiring a Medical Support Specialist in Janesville, WI. You determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable results.

You work under the Center Manager and Center Physician to ensure compliance with plasma collection regulations. Requirements include EMT or RN/LPN licensure in the state, CPR/AED certification, and at least two years in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold current EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN license in the state of responsibilities.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview, physical exam, blood testing, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings or medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS.
• Pandemic coordination when authorized by EHS.
