Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist to ensure donor safety and assist in plasma collection operations. You will assess eligibility, manage adverse events, review lab results, and communicate test outcomes to donors under medical guidance.

Role requires EMT licensure, CPR/AED, and clinical experience. You’ll work under Center Manager and Center Physician, with focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and EHS collaboration.

Qualifications

• Licensed EMT-B/EMT-A/Paramedic in the state of assignment.
• CPR and AED certification is required.
• Eligibility for IV therapy per state requirements.
• FDA approved BioLife Medical Support training completed.
• At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for emergencies and transport.
• Consult Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for staff.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance.
