Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; nursing program graduate where required
• Currently licensed in the state: EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN
• Current CPR and AED certification
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
• Satisfactorily complete FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, and CBC/SPE review
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unclear findings
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance
• Possibly serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs
