Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking an EMT-Basic to assess donor eligibility and support donor safety at the Kansas City plasma center. You will review medical histories, perform examinations, and manage donor reactions under Center Manager guidance.

You will collaborate with the Center Physician and Medical Affairs to ensure compliance with SOPs, FDA requirements, and environmental health and safety policies, while supporting vaccination programs and center operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Current state licensure as EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN.
• Current CPR and AED certification. In-state licensure for IV therapy if required.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, obtain informed consent, and ensure donor safety per SOPs.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies; coordinate donor care with Center Physician.
• Support vaccination programs and assist with occupational health and safety compliance.
