Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking an EMT-trained Medical Support Specialist in Kansas City, MO. You will determine donor eligibility, monitor donor safety, review test results, and provide donor notifications of unsuitable results under physician guidance.

The role emphasizes adherence to SOPs, EHS guidelines, and collaboration with the Center Manager and Medical Affairs to ensure high-quality donor care and center operations.

Qualifications

• EMT license/certification status in applicable state.
• 2+ years clinical or hospital experience preferred.
• CPR/AED certification current.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility and informed consent per SOPs.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage adverse events.
• Follow SOPs for medical emergencies and transport donors as needed.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical findings.
• Support vaccination programs (Hepatitis B, seasonal flu).
• Manage incidents with occupational health/EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs.
