Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, and assist in donor care under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance.

Applicants should hold EMT/ nursing licensure with current CPR/AED, and have at least two years in a clinical setting. This role follows BioLife and Takeda safety and compliance standards within a patient-focused team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a state-recognized nursing program.
• Licensed or certified EMT or nursing license in the responsibility state.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Meet state IV therapy requirements.
• Complete FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility and informed consent per SOP.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies.
• Review lab test results and notify donors of unsuitable results.
• Support vaccination and occupational health guidance as applicable.
