Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist with EMT experience to protect donor safety and support the plasma donation process. You will determine donor eligibility, review lab results, and manage donor adverse events under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

The role requires state licensure as EMT/LPN/RN variants, CPR/AED certification, and familiarity with FDA training requirements. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and graduate nursing program with state requirements.
• Current EMT (various levels), LPN/LVN or RN licensure in the applicable state.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Meet state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history and exams.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer for medical guidance to Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for staff.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance; assist investigations.
• May serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs.
