Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review test results, and notify donors of unsuitable findings. You’ll work under the Center Manager and Center Physician to ensure donor safety and center operations at BioLife locations.

Requirements include EMT licensure or nursing credentials, CPR/AED certification, 2 years clinical experience, and FDA training compliance.

Qualifications

• State licensure in EMT or nursing roles as applicable.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, education, history, and physical examination.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS.
