Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Texas seeks a Medical Support Specialist to determine donor eligibility, manage donor safety, review lab results, and support plasma center operations. You'll work under the Center Manager and Center Physician to ensure compliant, high-quality donor care.

This role offers predictable scheduling, comprehensive benefits, and career growth within Takeda's BioLife network. Candidates should hold EMT licensure (EMT-B/A/I/P) or RN/LPN, CPR/AED, and have clinical experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P, LPN/LVN or RN as applicable.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy where applicable.
• FDA training completion for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for clinical guidance.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage worker incidents with EHS guidance.
• Possibly act as Pandemic Coordinator as authorized.
