Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Spartanburg, SC, is hiring a Medical Support Specialist. EMT skills will support donor safety and the plasma donation process, with clinical assessment and patient care at the donor center.

You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review lab results, and coordinate with the Center Manager and Center Physician. The role offers predictable scheduling, growth opportunities, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• EMT licensure/certification required across EMT-B/A/I/P.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Clinical or hospital experience required (2+ years).
• Licensed nursing license (LPN/LVN or RN) in-state as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and donor history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Review laboratory test results and communicate unsuitable results to donors.
• Coordinate with Center Physician and Medical Affairs for medical guidance.
• Support vaccination programs and environmental, health and safety initiatives.
