Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks Medical Support Specialists to support donor eligibility, monitor safety, and review test results in a fast-paced plasma center. EMTs with licensure and clinical experience are encouraged to apply for a role ensuring donor care and center operations.

The position includes responsibilities for adverse events, coordination with physicians, and participation in center safety and vaccination programs. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; nursing pathway may be included.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state: EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P, LPN/LVN, RN.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for serious findings.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Handle occupational health issues and report incidents per EHS guidance.
• Potentially serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized.
