Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist to determine donor eligibility, review lab results, and manage donor safety within a plasma center. You will collaborate with the Center Manager and Center Physician to ensure compliant operations.

The role requires EMT certification at the state level, CPR/AED, and clinical experience, with opportunities for professional growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• EMT certification with applicable state licensure.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Clinical or hospital experience is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, history, exam and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for findings and guidance.
• Support vaccination programs for Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu where applicable.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance and occupational health input.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and assist investigations.
