Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in the United States is seeking an Medical Support Specialist with EMT background to determine donor eligibility, ensure donor safety, and support the plasma donation process that makes life-changing therapies possible. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance, following plasma-industry regulations and BioLife policies.

This role emphasizes patient care, safety, and quality, with predictable scheduling and career growth.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned (EMT-B/A/I/P, LPN/LVN or RN).
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, informed consent, and donor acceptance requirements, including medical history interview and physical examination.
• Evaluate donor reactions and medical emergencies following SOPs; coordinate with Center Physician for guidance.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/ER as needed; follow EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations within the local community.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I or EMT-P license

LPN/LVN license

RN license

CPR and AED certification
