Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an EMS Instructor to educate and train emergency care providers under supervision. You will lead course development, plan and evaluate classroom, lab, clinical and online instruction, and adapt formats to student demand.

The role requires delivering at least one AHA class and maintaining records, with travel to off-site locations as needed. 36 hours per week, days shift, on-site at Mercyhealth facilities.

Qualifications

• Degree or certificate in an Emergency Care discipline (e.g., EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, RN, PA, DO, MD).
• CPR within 90 days of hire.
• RN with BSN preferred or enrolled in BSN program.
• Two years of emergency care experience in Wisconsin licensed level.

Responsibilities

• Lead course development and instruction for EMT, AEMT, Paramedic and/or AHA courses.
• Deliver instruction across cognitive, psychomotor, and affective domains.
• Apply adult learning principles and set clear course goals and evaluation criteria.
• Instruct in at least one AHA class (BLS, ACLS, PALS).
• Maintain accurate class records and adapt teaching formats to student needs.
